UNI Community Music School (UNI CMS)

UNI Community Music School (UNI CMS) is an outreach program of the UNI School of Music and began March 1, 2006 with an enrollment of 35 private students and two professional music educators as Studio Instructors.  During the 2012-13 year, UNI CMS curriculum had increased to include 9 separate programs, 1,000 enrollments (ages 3 months – 98 years in age) in these programs, and an instructional staff of 81 professional music educators and UNI School of Music majors.  UNI CMS is entirely self-supporting through its various registration and tuition fees and through the monies received from generous private donors.  UNI CMS remains true to its mission statement that “Music Should Last a Lifetime,” and to the commitment that all CMS programming should be available to anyone who wishes to participate.
