Olivia is a junior from Eldridge, IA and is double majoring in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and Spanish.

“I have had the opportunity to become a Dean's Scholar for the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences or CHAS.  Being a Dean's Scholar is an honor and shows how passionate I am about my field of study. I have met many awesome and talented students who are also Dean's Scholars. We get to attend shows at the Gallagher Bluedorn together, share with prospective students how cool CHAS is and also make connections with faculty and our Dean. It is a great group to be a part of that has provided me with many unique opportunities.

"I really love the departments I am involved in here at UNI. My professors care about my success and are always willing to meet with me and listen to my concerns. My advisors for both of my majors have helped me schedule my classes in a way that will allow me to study abroad in Spain this spring.  The Roy Eblen Speech and Hearing Clinic is a great place to learn about working with real clients and see what the profession of speech-language pathology is all about! I love CHAS!"
