The James Hearst Award is awarded to an undergraduate that exhibits academic and artistic promise.

  • Qualifications

    • Junior or senior (the following fall semester)

    • 3.0 major GPA; 3.0 GPA overall

    • Academic or artistic promise is the primary basis for the award, but need is also considered.

    • Student in the following departments:

      • Art

      • Languages & Literatures

      • Music

  • Requirements

    • UNIversity Scholarship Application

    • At least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with the student’s work and who can attest to demonstrated scholarly/artistic contributions to the department and to the discipline. Please deliver this letter to the departmental office.
