Want to apply for a graduate assistantship? Students with a complete undergraduate transcript on file, minimum of 3.0 GPA, taking 9 qualifying credits are eligible to receive Graduate College funding.

Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a teaching assistant, you’ll teach courses under the supervision of the assigned faculty member, or work with a faculty member to assist in their course. Experiences typically include: delivering in-class lectures; grading homework, in-class assignments and tests; meeting with students; conducting lab sessions; and assisting with development of class materials.

Graduate Research Assistant

As a research assistant, you’ll work with a faculty member to assist his/her research. Duties typically include: experiment design, collecting data in lab or field, analyzing data, presenting data (in written or oral form); reviewing literature, writing abstracts and manuscripts for journal papers; and overseeing undergraduate research projects/senior design projects.
