Graphic Technology
Representing one of the largest manufacturing and production industries in the world, the Graphic Technology program at UNI is one of the most unique programs on campus. Through the program, you’ll explore the in’s and out’s of print and digital publishing, learning industry workflows ranging from design conception to product fulfillment and beyond.
As a Graphic Technology major, you’ll use equipment that is widely used in the industry – from screen & wide format printing to laser cutting. Through the practical application of printing, graphic design, digital photography, packaging, and publishing, each student graduates with a wide range of skills applicable in one of the largest industries on the globe.
Accredited Program
The Graphic Technology program is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Collegiate Graphic Communications (ACCGC).
World class facilities
The Applied Engineering Building (AEB) is undergoing a $43.9 million dollar renovation which will be ready for the Fall 2023 semester.

Hands-on Labs
The Graphic Technology program at UNI is the only program of its kind in the state of Iowa and has its own dedicated laboratory with some of the most state-of-the-art equipment available in industry.

Grafx Club
Through the Graphic Technology Club (Grafx Club), students get the opportunity to work on real projects, while honing their leadership and management skills. The Grafx Club also gives students the chance to interact and network with graphic communications industry personnel – opening doors to future careers.
