Technology Management at UNI is a unique program that combines applied knowledge with management skills, preparing you for the everyday rigors of a leadership role in manufacturing, transportation, or technology.

You’ll study project management, lean operations and statistical quality control, all while learning effective supervisory principles. In addition, UNI’s unmatched relationships with industry allows you to land summer internships, which often lead to job offers working with top industry partners such as John Deere, Garmin and Collins Aerospace.

Career Outlook

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the career opportunities for students in the Technology Management program at the University of Northern Iowa are expected to increase between 7 & 16% over the next 10 years.  This range varies depending on the industry that the student is employed in.

The Department of Applied Engineering & Technical Management has forged strong connections with industry partners in Iowa, including big-name companies such John Deere, Collins Aerospace and Garmin. In an average year, nearly 100 employers from around the state, and the Midwest, come to campus to visit with our students, and recruit them for full-time positions.
