Visiting artists and UNI alumni Sayyod Mirzomurodov, clarinet, and Mariya Akhadjanova, piano, will present a recital. Mirzomurodov currently serves as a clarinet professor at Augustana College and has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and ensemble collaborator throughout Central Asia, Europe, and North America. Akhadjanova currently serves as staff collaborative pianist at School of Music, University of Iowa. In 2021, she performed at Carnegie Hall as winner of the 2021 “Golden Classical Music Awards" International Competition, and she performed in 2022 at Lincoln Center in New York City as a finalist and second prize winner of the Music International Grand Prix 2022. This event is free and open to the public.
