Emilia Marroquin

Emilia Marroquin serves as an Identification & Recruitment (ID&R) Specialist with the Iowa Migrant Education Program, supporting the identification and enrollment of eligible migratory children and families across Northwest Iowa. In her role, she builds relationships with families, collaborates with schools, and connects communities with vital educational and social resources.                                                                         

Originally from El Salvador, Emilia has lived in the United States for over 34 years, with 25 of those in rural Iowa. With a background in Human Services, she approaches her work with empathy and dedication, ensuring that each family feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. She is passionate about educational equity and the transformative power of community connection.
