Kyle is an associate professor and graduate program coordinator at the University of Northern Iowa. He oversees the educator preparation training for prospective middle and high school communication teachers, directs the nationally renowned graduate program, and develops relationships between the university and practitioners. He has published over 40 articles and books about pedagogical practice issues, diversity and equity, and professional development.
Ph.D., Southern Illinois University
Kyle teaches a variety of courses in the Communication and Media Department. His primary areas of specialization are graduate courses in Communication and Instruction; Communication Theory; and Qualitative Research Methods as well as undergraduate courses in Communication Research Methods and Communication and Activism.
