Ryan Brattrud, a 2012 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, earned his undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Metal Casting. Throughout his years in undergrad, Ryan actively participated in the American Foundry Society and the Foundry Education Foundation, in addition to being involved in industry-related research.

Currently, Ryan is furthering his academic pursuits by pursuing a master's degree at the University of Northern Iowa. As a Manufacturing Project Engineer at Caterpillar, he applies his knowledge and skills to design processes that enhance efficiency, speed, and safety in manufacturing.
