Construction Management Club
One of the most active student organizations on campus, the Construction Management Club at UNI is all about connection, experience, and growth. From hands-on community service projects to networking with industry professionals, the club helps you build both your resume and your future. Each year, the club hosts a Construction Industry Career Fair, attracting top companies from across Iowa and the Midwest.
Members also travel to national conventions and competitions, explore new construction techniques and technologies, and help define what it means to be a professional in the construction industry. Whether you're looking to make industry connections, sharpen your skills, or get involved, this is the place to start.
National Competitions
The Construction Management Club routinely travels to national conventions and competitions. Most recently, the team competed in the annual Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Construction Management Competition in Las Vegas. Out of 35 teams, UNI students earned a third place finish in the estimating category and 11th place overall, beating out numerous much larger schools.
Guest Speakers
The Construction Management Club regularly hosts guest speakers – including alumni and local business and industry representatives – who discuss job opportunities, give students an inside look at their work, and help them build important skills such as communication, improv, and more.
