Ron Koinzan

Ron Koinzan started at the University of Northern Iowa in 2007. He earned his MFA in Technical Production (focus on Technical Direction and Lighting Design) at Humboldt State University in 2003. Prior to moving to the University of Northern Iowa in 2007 he served as the Technical Director at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. His first professional position in theatre occurred in 1989 as an overhire electrician for the Sacramento Theatre Company. In the intervening years he has worked as an electrician, carpenter, master carpenter, welder, light and sound board operator, rigger, flyman, designer (sound, lighting, and scenic), production manager as well as a technical director.
