Iowa Metal Casting Competition

Showcase your metal casting skills with this brand new competition!

We’re excited to announce an incredible opportunity for your students to explore the art and science behind metal casting!  The Department of Applied Engineering at the University of Northern Iowa is hosting a Metal Casting Competition for Iowan schools. This competition is sponsored by the Foundry Education Foundation.

This competition is designed to foster collaboration between local industries, UNI, and high school students through a fun, manufacturing challenge. All students are able to get hands-on experience in both design and pattern construction, even if their school lacks the necessary resources for metal melting.

More information on judging, awards, and due dates coming soon!
