Dr. Westemeyer’s research interests include illuminating the neural bases of swallowing, investigating the efficacy of skill- and strength-based swallowing rehabilitation, and improving researcher-clinician collaboration and employment of evidence-based practice in the management of swallowing disorders across the lifespan.
