Reservation and Contact Information
Science kits are available and can be reserved through our student staff by emailing serc@uni.edu or calling 319-273-6912 with your name, preferred kit(s) and desired reservation time(s). Contacting us well in advance is very desirable and recommended.
The Yager Science Education Resources and Outreach Center (YSERO) is located in 160 McCollum Science Hall. Student staff are available between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Since the staff are undergraduate students taking courses, participating in extracurricular activities, working other jobs, etc.; they may not be available at all times throughout the week. So if you are UNI faculty, staff or students, it would be a good idea to email or call in your request.

A science kit reservation information letter and reservation form are sent out to administrators and teachers via an email listserv during the summer for reservations for the upcoming academic year. The letter includes information on science kits available, costs, checkout dates, etc.
The reservation form is also available for teachers to provide their contact and mailing information, preferred kit(s) and desired reservation time(s).
Please note that the science kits are delivered to and from schools via the van service provided by Central Rivers Area Education Agency. This service is only provided to schools within the Central Rivers AEA region. If you are outside of this region, you will have to make arrangements with our staff for pick up and return. UNI faculty, staff and students will have to make arrangements with our staff for pick up and return since the van service would not be used.
