Find your starring role in an upcoming TheatreUNI production

To be cast in a TheatreUNI production, you’ll need to audition. Auditions are required for theatre performance majors, and are open to all UNI students, regardless of major. 

Audition Information For Fall 2026

 

What: Auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Language Archive

Where: Strayer-Wood Theatre on the Strayer-Wood stage

When: Saturday, April 11, 10 am - 1 pm (with callbacks Saturday and Sunday)

Who: All UNI students are welcome. Theatre Performance Emphases are required to audition.

What to Prepare: 

Sign up for a 2-minute time slot to perform your monologue package. If you only wish to be considered for one of the productions, please specify that on the audition form.

Performance Emphases:

  • Prepare a 90 second package that includes one classical monologue and one contemporary monologue.

Other Emphases, Theatre Minors, and Non-Theatre Majors: 

  • You may follow the monologue guidelines for performance students. If you do not have a monologue prepared, print-outs will be available for you to read at the audition. 


Callback Information:

  • Callbacks for A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be on Saturday, April 11, from 6-10 pm.
  • Callbacks for The Language Archive will be on Sunday, April 12, from 1-5pm.
  • Auditioners will be notified on Saturday, April 11, by 4 pm if they will need to attend callbacks.
