Find your starring role in an upcoming TheatreUNI production
To be cast in a TheatreUNI production, you’ll need to audition. Auditions are required for theatre performance majors, and are open to all UNI students, regardless of major.
Audition Information For Spring 2027
What: Auditions for Athena, Into the Woods, and The Panther Traveling Players
Where: Strayer-Wood Theatre on the Strayer-Wood stage
When: Saturday, October 17th, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM (Callbacks on Sunday, October 18th & Tuesday, October 20th)
Who: All are welcome. Theatre Performance Emphases are required to audition.

What to Prepare (for more detailed information check out the casting information linked below):
Performance Emphases:
- One 30-60 second cut of a song (Memorized and performed live with an accompanist),
- One 60-90 second contemporary monologue
- The movement piece* (to be shown in a movement call)
Other Emphases, Theatre Minors, and Non-Theatre Majors:
- One 60-90 second monologue. If you don't have one memorized, some will be provided at the audition.
The movement* piece (to be shown in a movement call)
- If you wish to be considered for Into the Woods, you should also have a 30-60 second cut of a song. Memorized and performed live with an accompanist. Bring your own sheet music please.
*Movement piece will be in the script folder linked below once we have it.
Callback Information:
- Callbacks for Athena will be on Sunday, October 18th 9:00 am-11:00 pm
- Callbacks for Into the Woods will be on Sunday, October 18th, from 12-5pm.
Callbacks for the Panther Traveling Players will be Tuesday, October 20th, 4:00-6:00pm.
- Auditioners will be notified on Saturday, October 17th if they will need to attend callbacks.
