Pre-Pharmacy: Chemistry Track
Pharmacists are medication experts, playing a critical role in the healthcare industry by helping people get the best results from their medications.
Pharmacists prepare and dispense prescriptions, ensure medications and dosages are correct, and advise patients, physicians and other healthcare practitioners on the safe and appropriate use of their medications.
If you’re interested in a pharmacist career, and plan to attend pharmacy school, you should consider the pre-pharmacy track at UNI.
It is important to keep in mind that the pre-pharmacy track is not an academic major; rather, it’s a suggested program of study that prepares students to apply to professional school upon completing their undergraduate degree. Pre-pharmacy students may choose a major in any area, though many major in a scientific field such as chemistry, biochemistry or biology.
