Professional Development

With a commitment to continued learning, our department offers workshops and courses for in-service teachers. Courses and workshops range from geological resources to astronomy labs to weather, energy and more.

Courses with Graduate Credit

The following are some of the courses available to in-service teachers that are offered with graduate credit. All graduate level courses currently have a number of 5000 or greater.

     Spring/Summer Short Course

• Iowa's Geological Resources Workshop - online during the spring, on campus during the summer, offered through Continuing Education. Dates vary each year.
