Ready to take the next step towards your future? We’re ready for you. UNI accepts many credits into the UNI Foundational Inquiry (UNIFI) from Iowa community colleges. In addition, the Department of Applied Engineering & Technical Management articulates courses from related technical programs at community colleges.

Transfer Information

1. Submit your application
Be sure to keep track of your University CATID and password to track the status of your Application.

2. Pay the $40 application fee
An Application Fee Waiver is available for qualified/eligible students.

3. Send official transcripts
For transcripts to be considered official, it must be sent directly from the institution to UNI.

  • The Transfer Connection program is a coordinated plan between UNI and community colleges.  It helps students like you seamlessly transition for community college to UNI.
     
  • As a participant of the program, you'll receive one-on-one pre-advising from the UNI transfer team, assisting you with staying on track to transfer.

Transfer Credits

  • Department of Applied Engineering & Technical Management accepts a limited amount of technical credits from Iowa Community Colleges.
  • No courses numbered 100 or 100g level are accepted from two year community colleges.
