It covers several topics such as introducing yourself and your company, job interview, making a business appointment, price negotiations, attending a banquet, advertising, and sales promotion, etc. From both western perspectives and Chinese perspectives, the course selects many demo videos, documentaries, and interviews of successful businesspeople to give a balanced and dynamic view of business Chinese and culture.

Course Structure: Students will study one business cultural topic and one conversation topic weekly. After completing the assigned readings and online videos related to the topic, students will submit a learning summary. Students will also study weekly conversation topics at their own levels and upload a recording. The final project allows students to plan a trade show in China to market a product. Students will need to comprehensively use what they have learned in this course to practice doing business in China.
