Learning that goes beyond the classroom
The study of communication is central to understanding and engaging in our globally connected world.
Through our programs, you’ll develop the skills needed to address communication challenges in the workplace, in everyday life or just as a well-rounded citizen. You’ll learn to design impactful messages, construct powerful arguments, and communicate in diverse cultural and global communities. You’ll sharpen your analytical skills, creativity, teamwork and leadership skills through class projects, internships and our many student organizations.
Whether it’s writing for the student newspaper, working at our in-house PR firm, competing in speech and debate competitions, or attending professional conferences – we’ll give you the opportunities to make sure your voice is heard.
UNI's Department of Communication and Media set Emmy Award-winning journalist Eva Andersen on the path to success.
