See the Northeast Iowa premiere of KINNICK: The Documentary
Experience the Northeast Iowa premiere of KINNICK: The Documentary. The film tells the story of Nile Kinnick – child of the Depression, winner of the Heisman Trophy, and pilot in WW2. The story reveals what pushed a young man from Adel, Iowa to ascend to the realm of legend in the minds of sports fans across the nation. The 2022 film will be screened Nov. 3, 2022, 7 p.m. in Lang Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be a Q&A with co-director Christopher Cook (UNI, 2008) following the film.
Cook is a producer, writer, and editor whose work focuses on socially-relevant issues. Since receiving his BA in Electronic Media from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008, Cook has run Brainroot, his company in Kansas City where he produces both creative content and documentary media.
The screening is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the UNI Department of Communication and Media and the Iowa Broadcasters Association Foundation as a special event before the Fast Forward Digital Media Workshop on Nov. 4 at UNI.
