Chiropractic 3+1
Join a growing healthcare profession that’s helping patients stay healthy without drugs or surgery.
Each year, an estimated 50 million Americans see a chiropractor to reduce pain, increase movement and support overall health and wellbeing.
Through UNI’s unique Chiropractic 3+1 program, you can fast-track your chiropractic career – saving you time and money.
As part of this program, the UNI Department of Biology has partnered with Palmer College of Chiropractic, Logan University, and Cleveland Chiropractic College to offer students a pathway to chiropractic school.
Students will complete three years at UNI, meeting UNI's liberal arts core requirements, Department of Biology foundational science courses, and the chiropractic school's prerequisites. Students will then complete one year at a partnering chiropractic school of their choice. At the end of the four years, students will be awarded a BA in Biology from UNI. The student can then complete the three additional years of required chiropractic coursework to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the cooperating program.
It is important to note that Chiropractic 3+1 is not an academic major; rather, a suggested program of study that prepares students for professional school upon completing their undergraduate degrees. Students wishing to join this program would declare a BA Biology major.
