Pre-Physical Therapy: Biology Track
Interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy? You've come to the right place! The UNI Department of Biology's pre-physical therapy track is designed to put you on the right path for PT school from day one.
As a Biology major, most of the coursework needed for admission to PT schools will apply directly to your major, rather than being an extra set of requirements to complete on the side. You'll also benefit from personalized advising, career prep services, unique undergraduate research experiences and hands-on labs – all of which will help your PT school application stand out from the crowd!
Employment of physical therapists is projected to grow 21% from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations.
UNI Biology is a member of the NAAHP (National Association of Advisors for Health Professions), allowing access to resources that benefit students studying in a healthcare field
Our department’s Pre-Physical Therapy Club connects students with physical therapy school representatives and professionals in the field, while helping prepare them for physical therapy school admission exams.
Hear from one of our graduates!
Throughout my time at UNI, the hands-on learning provided by UNI's biology department prepared me well for my future career in physical therapy. The relationships I developed with my biology professors were impactful and made me want to learn more. I can't say enough about the professors and how much they clearly cared about me!
