Pre-Podiatry: Biology Track
Step into your podiatry career
The field of podiatric medicine offers a challenging yet rewarding career path, focused on improving the lives of patients through the treatment of the foot, ankle, and related structures of the leg.
It is important to keep in mind that the pre-podiatry track is not an academic major; rather, it’s a suggested program of study that prepares students to apply to professional school upon completing their undergraduate degree.
Pre-podiatry students may choose a major in any area, but the BA Biology: Biomedical major was designed to keep pre-podiatry students on track to meet the most common requirements for podiatric programs and the topics for the MCAT. With most pre-podiatry courses counting toward your UNI degree, this is an efficient pathway to prepare for a podiatry program.
